A Night to Remember

A sports superstar is dared by their teammates to steal the rival school’s mascot. A lovelorn wallflower builds up the courage to dance with their crush. A nerd plots their revenge against their bullies. The new kid who never really fit in finally makes a new friend. An artist’s final project is suddenly ruined, but in the destruction become truly inspired. In this tabletop role-playing game, players will take on the roles of over-dramaticised characters during some big night of their life, whether it be Prom, a big game, a class reunion, an intense house party, a graduation, or anything you’d like.  During this night, your character will be challenged by rivals. Some are long-time enemies, some are friends; others come from within, like doubt and denial. But if your character can manage their stress and confidence, maybe they’ll truly have... A Night to Remember.

A Night to Remember is a game designed specifically to cause chaos and drama amongst player characters. The mechanics are designed to be fairly simple in practice and cover all sorts of scenarios where social tension is high—it’s also easily adapted to suit magical, futuristic, or other settings. The system also works well to re-create characters and imagine them in alternate-universe settings for mid-campaign one-shots.

This game can be either played as either a one-shot game or over a number of sessions, and is loosely based on the Powered
by the Apocalypse engine.
